Plans for the rest of the year

Hello! Claudio and I wanted to update you all on our opportunities for the rest of 2008 and beginning of 2009. First, we hope to be in the USA from November 26-January 5-ish. I know that it is difficult for everyone to meet in California again, so I would like to stop in Arizona and Chicago at least...maybe Boston too, we'll have to see how everything goes. I just really want Claudio to meet all of you and for you to meet him as well!

The second bit of news is that we were offered a job in Beira, Mozambique. We are to be Project Directors for Wings Like Eagles. This could be a great job for both of our personal development, but I'm not too sure I want to live in Beira. If you look at the map on the left, Beira is on the coast right next to where it says Mozambique Channel. Beira is the second largest city in Mozambique, so it will still have grocery stores and most modern day things. The bad part is that when you live in provinces outside of Maputo, there is a lot of witchcraft and "traditional doctors". Claudio's parents lived in Beira for 10 years and said that they really enjoyed it, but said that we should not trust anyone...and be careful what we say to people because everyone talks about everyone else. An interesting tidbit that Claudio's Father said is that within 1 week even the Governor of the Province will know that an American married to a Mozambican is living/working in Beira!
Another thing is that the only place to "escape" to is Zimbabwe and I don't know how much of an escape that would be! :) Anyways, we could really use all of your prayers so that we would know where God wants us to be and if this is the right place for us to go.
