I'm spending a few days at home. Had some cancer removed from my lip and thought it better just to take some time off than trying to take care of it and keep it clean while on the road.
Just a couple things going on here. Travis has started school, (his senior year), and is staying busy. He opted out of basketball last year and probably again this year for a couple of reasons. First, his knees were giving him a lot of trouble his sophomore year, partly from a growth spurt (I think) and partly from an injury in PE. Second, he has started taking his Christian walk very seriously and would have to miss several activities he enjoys at church, namely youth group on Thursdays. Third, he has been working at church as the janitor/maintainence man which amounts to about 30 hrs/wk and he would not be able to do the job to his satisfaction. It really neat to see him metamorphising from a boy into a man.
Cindy really enjoys what she is doing at the daycare. She has been a little frustrated because her responsibilities have been somewhat gray as she fills so many gaps when she sees them and her supervisors are just happy to have things taken care of. It has created some friction when fellow employees though because her bosses kind of gave her authority without really making it clear to coworkers. This has finally been ironed out and included a raise. It also helps her better order her work days because she doesn't get pulled in so many different directions.
I submitted my resume for an office position with the company I've been with for about 17 yrs. The positives would be that I would be home and while I still enjoy driving, its taking a toll on my nerves and it's just time. I know I'll miss going places but I think that will not be as big and issue as it once was. I would not have to change companies meaning my seniority still counts for something, I know the company and how they operate.
The negatives include we would once again have to move, this time to the Phoenix area. Cindy would have to find a new job after finally getting the one she has enjoyed most in all of the places we have been. We'd have to go through the home buying process once again, (house hunting, mortgage applications, selling this house, moving furniture, finding a new church, establishing new friends, etc). I'm finding change isn't as fun as it once was. The plus side of the move is that the temps would never get below 40, rarely below 50 meaning NO SNOW OR ICE.
We are both alright either way but covet your prayers in this matter. We don't have any idea when to expect any answers and will not move before Travis finishes his senior year but I may have to start and keep an apartment for awhile. I will keep you all posted.
We enjoy hearing from all of you and in case you don't have it, our e-mail is tctma@wisvc.com. I'll try to get a current picture to include next time. Love you all. Tim

I know what you mean about the No ice and snow...I'm right in that camp with you! :) We will be praying a lot for you and the family. I know that it can be rough moving once you are really settled. BUT I know as well that Aunt Cindy and Travis will be really happy to have you around more. It's great to hear from you Uncle Tim! Love you!
We will certainly be praying for the whole situation. Is everything okay with you health wise? I got a chuckle from the "rough" schedule you decribed Travis having--school from 10am to noon must be tough! Sounds like he'll be filling the rest of the time right up though. We love you guys and pray God's very best for you.
