That time of year

It is quickly approaching the time of year that Tom looks forward to all year long..deerhunting. He and a friend will be going to northern WI for six days. They are renting a cabin. Getting the "big one" would be wonderful, but he says there are many other things that make the deerhunting season special.

This will be the first year that neither son will be able to go along. However, Grant recently had his own deer adventure. A guy at Taylor hit a deer with his car and since Grant has always talked about the hunting ..they wondered if he wanted the deer. Yes, they got it tagged and then butchered it...him and his friend, Luke Collins (Jay Kessler's grandson) So I guess he has already experienced some of the fun of deerhunting.

Tom was told that he is being put on unemployment. They do not know how long. Last week he put in 72 hrs and now there is nothing for work. There was some talk that they might send him to Iowa because they are really busy there. He loves land surveying and enjoys being outside in all kinds of weather. Pray for us please.
Lastly, I want to say that I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. Both Grant and Clint will come home right before the turkey day so that will be really special. Count your blessings in all that God has bestowed on you. We may not know the future, but God does.
Blessings to all from Wisconsin.

So sorry to hear about the lay off. Hopefully, it will be very short. I'm hearing about a lot of that. You'll be in our prayers. Hope Bambi stands still long enough to draw a bead. And enjoy your time as a hunter widow.

Love you all from AZ.
